TVC Shortlisted for a Major National Training Award

‘GROW YOUR OWN: An organisational staff development initiative to improve the learner experience’

The College has, once again been shortlisted for a major National Training Award.  The bid entitled "Grow Your Own" highlights TVC's commitment to first class staff development in order to maintain the highest quality provision accross all of our programmes.  Frank Audoiure, the award project leader says,

"This is an account of the work we have been undertaking with you, in delivery of the PTLLS and CTLLS programme, and the improvements which have come about as a direct result.

Of course, it is one thing for us to be confident of our own abilities but quite another for an outside body – at the highest level (SFA, who this year sponsor the event) - to take a similar view on the merits of our activities. As a consequence, we have been invited to meet the judging panel at SFA Headquarters in Manchester on the 13th July, to discuss the programme and explore the outcomes in more detail. I am confident that we can more than stand our corner, and who knows, go one step further than our success in 2008!

For now, regardless of the outcome in July (and beyond??), may I extend congratulations to the delivery team (Angie, Debbie, Alison and Sharron) and thank them for their professionalism and unstinting support to you all; all of you for your commitment hard work in achieving your qualifications; and of course, your learners – ALL of whom have benefitted from your enhanced teaching practice. WELL DONE."
