College Motto Inspires Youth Team

"Labor Omnia Vincit" - Inspires The Victoria Colts AFC

The College sponsored local Wirral Youth Football club who found inspiration in our motto "Success Through Endeavour"

 

TVC has continued it's tradition of providing community support for a range of initiatives by sponsoring the Victoria Colts Tornadoes Junior Football club for the 2011/12 season.

Team Manager, Andy Cannell writes,

Thanks to your sponsorship, Victoria Colts Tornadoes JFC Under 9s have had a marvellous new Red Kit for this season 2010-2011 and we will also be wearing this next season as Under 10s in the Wirral Mini Junior & Football League. The Tornadoes had a very tough, but excellent season in the Real Madrid Division (2nd of 4 Divisions) and competed with some great footballing teams from across the Wirral. 

We managed to win quite a few games and there were so many games where we were pipped by the odd goal.  Many teams admired us for our passing & moving and 'never giving up' style of play.  We even scored over 50 goals! In previous seasons, we didn't have much luck in tournaments, but this season, we entered the Sports Club International (SCI) Tournament in Prestatyn in May 2011 and we played absolutely fantastic, only losing out to our other team, Victoria Colts Hurricanes.  We played teams from Wales, Scotland and Liverpool and again made many friends because of our style of play. The England and Liverpool legend, Mark Wright presented our trophies at the Presentation night. 

Throughout this season and at Prestatyn, other players, managers, parents and spectators have enquired and commented on your shirt sponsorship logo: "Labor Omnia Vincit" and to be honest the meaning of this motto has summed our whole season up - the Tornadoes have worked hard at training and in matches all season, especially in the bad winter we had, and we have had our most successful season so far as a result. Your sponsorship has allowed us to kit our players in a wonderful team kit and has made them feel like superstars! 

We are so looking forward to next season and playing some great football again!
