- A LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN SPORT, RECREATION AND ALLIED OCCUPATIONS INDUSTRY AND ORGANISATIONAL AWARENESS
- A LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN ADVANCED FITNESS INSTRUCTING
SECTION 4 INDUSTRY SKILLS
How many industry skills do I need to complete my apprenticeship?
Any 2 from the following list:
- Certificate in Fitness Instruction
- Certificate in Teaching Swimming
- Certificate For NARS Pool Lifeguard
- Certificate for NARS Pool Attendant
- Certificate for NARS Poolside helper
- Certificate in Coaching Studies
- Any Approved Health and Safety Executive First Aid at Work or Appointed Persons Certificate
- IQL Level 2 National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (33 hrs)
- Chartered Institute of Environmental Health – Basic Health and Safety Certificate (6 hours)
- CSLA
Other industry skills courses may be available speak to your assessor for details.

The Physical activity & Exercise apprenticeship is a work based learning programme that runs for up to 24 months.
Training and assessment hours are covered through a combination of work based learning and In-house training, with training days/shifts flexible to suit the employer & employee.
