Jakes not Looking Back after his Raleigh Experience

TVC Foundation Learning students took part in Operation Ralleigh in Spring of 2011 and carried out important development work in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and India.  Jake Palmart volunteered for development work in Costa Rica and Nicaragua and it changed his life.  Jake says,
"In 2009 I started my NVQ Level 1 with The Vocational College in Wallasey and was asked by them whether I would like to do a 10-week expedition in Borneo & Malaysia, India or Costa Rica & Nicaragua. I decided I would like to do Costa Rica & Nicaragua and Anthony Wilson also from Vocational College went to India. We were told we would have to raise money to do this expedition; Jo Madden gave us the opportunity to do this and she gave us a lot of support to raise this money and helped get us out there. The expedition was the best 10 weeks I have had and made changes to my outlook on things since I have been back.

I am now working on a diploma in Sport at Reaseheath College and will hopefully complete it inApril 2012".
