Student of the Year
Ashley Birch, one of The Vocational College’s students recently received Student of the Year for Distance Learning. This was presented to him at an awards ceremony on 6th December 2007 where he received his certificate and a cheque for £50.
Ashley, a Student Mentor over in Construction, had GCSE Level E in Maths and Level D in English. He went on a course with Riverside College and went on to complete his Key Skills with Debbie Cullen.
Riverside College have now asked him if he will consider doing a teaching certificate.
