The Vocational College has always considered the Health & Safety of it's Staff and Learners a priority in all areas of it's qualification delivery process.
Whether awards are delivered in house or in the workplace the Health & Safety team have developed world class systems in order to keep learners, staff and employers up to date with current legislation.
John Bradshaw, the College H&S Manager says,
"In 2006 as the manager of the College health & safety department, the grade of ‘Excellent in health & safety’ was obtained by Learning and Skills Council.
The ethos was to be the first in Merseyside to hold this grade and one of only 16 Providers within the North West to be given this grade. In 2009 and 2010 the College made it to the IOSH awards in London which hosts the top 50 companies from circa 250 entries into the awards".Becoming a Chartered Safety Practitioner, a Fellow for the Institute of Leadership and Management and a Fellow Member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management
